Triplet Dads Run On Dunkin (Coffee That Is!)

My husband works at least three jobs. Fortunately only one of them takes him to an office - the rest he can do from home but it means he often only gets 4 hours of sleep a night. And he thought getting up a few times a night to feed triplets was hard :)

To keep him running and at least semi-awake he drinks a ton of coffee. I never touch the stuff (crazy I know but I don't like it) but he loves it and his favorite coffee is Dunkin Donuts so when I found out that Target was running an awesome special on their coffee this week I practically ran right over.

The awesome deal: purchase 3 bags of Dunkin Donuts coffee and get a $5.00 gift card back - the sale price is $6.49 a bag and there are coupons in RP 10/31 - my coupon was for $2.00/2 but some people may have a $1.50/1 coupon (I would have preferred that but as my girls say "you get what you get and you don't throw a fit!").

Using my $2.00 off coupon I paid $17.47 for 3 bags of coffee and got a $5.00 gift card back. As I like to do I had to do it a second time this time I used my first $5.00 gift card as well as a $1.00 off coupon I found inside one of my first coffee bags :) This time around I paid $11.47 for 3 bags of coffee and earned back a $5.00 gift card.

So for 6 bags of coffee I paid $23.94 or $3.99/each and for Dunkin Donuts coffee that's a steal! (In case you don't know the regular price is usually around $8.00 a bag).

Thanks to Southern Savers for a heads-up on this deal :)

Great MOTT'S Deal At Super Target

I don't normally shop at Super Target but I do check to see if there are any good deals going on before I stop by for something else. So since I had to pick up tights for the girls and was already going I jumped on Southern Savers to see what the best deals were and believe me there's a deal to be had!

This is what I picked up:

Ended up going back twice to stock up on some free applesauce :)

Here's the deal:

Buy 5 MOTT's juice or applesauce products and get a $5 gift card back. Each item is on sale for $1.75.

On my first trip I spent $8.75 and got $5.00 back making my products just $0.75/each. On my second and third trip I spent $3.75 on 5 products using my $5.00 gift card and got back another $5.00 gift card making the items FREE. Once I felt sufficiently stocked up on applesauce and juice (a treat for us since we go through juice soo fast and it's normally quite expensive) I used my remaining $5.00 to buy 5 Lunchables at $1.00/each - my final cost was just $0.13!! A great way to give my kids a treat for their Friday lunch :)

The oatmeal I found on clearance and used 2 $1.00/1 coupons from RP 8/29 or RP 9/12 making it just $0.56 a box. Not bad for a breakfast (yes, we go through an entire box of oatmeal at one breakfast!)

Saving At Target

This week I ventured outside of Harris Teeter and into my SuperTarget. I like Target for toys and school supplies but for the most part don't find their groceries to be that inexpensive. However, this week I couldn't pass up the great Kellogg's deal (I should insert here that almost every store is having a deal on Kellogg's cereal this week)

Target's deal is buy 4 Kellogg's items get 1 free and since you can stack a manufacturers coupon with a Target coupon (meaning you can use 1 of each on the same item) it's a real money saver. I ended up spending $5.75 on 5 boxes of cereal! AND on 3 of those boxes are special Kellogg's bucks which put me halfway to another free movie ticket!

Here's what I picked up:

I spent: $29.57
And saved: $27.05

That may not sound like a ton (about 50%) but my total before handing her my stack of coupons was $48.95 - almost $20 of my savings was coupons! She even asked if I planned to pay my whole bill in coupons :) If I could I would!

Some of the coupons I have had a for a while or received in a coupon booklet a few months ago but for the Kellogg's match-ups for Target as well as Harris Teeter check out Southern Savers for the Target printables as well as the manufacturers coupons. I will say I was able to use 2 Target printable $1.00/2 Kellogg's cereal along with 1 $1.00/2 manufacturer's coupon as well as a $1.25/3 coupon even though one of the boxes was technically free.

It's not always worth it to check another store but for this week I found some deals at Target and figured I'd share :)

Saving Money At Target

While I rarely shop at Target for grocery items because I can find them cheaper elsewhere there are some ways to make Target even cheaper then it already is.

I start by heading over to The Coupon Mom to see what she has on her list. Generally she will tell me what's on sale and where to find coupons in the paper to match with the sales.

But the really great thing about Target is that you can use the coupons they have on their website along with coupons from the paper.

For example this week on Target's coupon here they have a coupon for $1.00 off of 2 boxes of Kellogg's Poptarts. There is also a $1.00 off 2 boxes of poptarts in January 18th newspaper (redplum) - you can use both of them together and you will get $2.00 off instead of just $1.00.

Also, there is a coupon for $0.50 off V8 juice and there is a coupon from January 4th paper for $0.50 off saving you a total of $1.00.

I haven't seen a ton of deals at Target (they have about $10 worth of coupons up a week) but they can be found if you look for them and it's certainly a great deal when you can use two coupons on the same item. Yes, I've tried it and yes, it really works :)

Keep checking back - I'll be working on a button for the site that you can add to your own so please feel free to share with others the deals you find here and share with us any deals you know of - I love to hear!
